Signing announcement with the World Energy Council!
Platform Zero and the World Energy Council have joined forces for the WEC500 Program. Platform Zero aims to create the largest platform for innovators in the energy and maritime sector by inviting a group of the most promising 500 start-ups and scale-ups to the World Energy Congress in April 2024 in Rotterdam.

10 Questions with the founder of Finsulate
We had the opportunity to have a chat with Rik Breur, founder of Finsulate, the company that aims to prevent toxic matter from entering the oceans. Finsulate offers a more sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional antifouling paints which are highly toxic and very harmful to marine ecosystems. Without antifouling, any surface in water, like ship hulls and offshore constructions, will foul with algae, mussels and barnacles. Click on the header to find our more!

The COP28 Highlights Sustainable Progress
In anticipation of COP28, global leaders convened to address climate issues. The UN Emissions Gap Report emphasized the urgency of impactful action to avert a potential 2.5°-2.9°C temperature rise. CEOs in the maritime industry, including partners like MSC, Maersk, and CMA CGM, rallied for decarbonization at COP28. As Platform Zero advocates for climate tech, we support this pivotal moment in transforming the maritime sector.
COP28 saw nearly 200 nations committing to triple global renewable energy and double energy efficiency by 2030. Platform Zero encourages these efforts while emphasizing the ongoing need for accelerated sustainable innovations in combating climate change.
