What is the 10-questions interview? Regularly, we interview a promising startup or scale-up in the climate & energy tech ecosystem and ask them our 10 questions to showcase their technology, inspire the sector with their ambition and better understand their needs. With our platform (ZERO), we want to put these bold innovators on a pedestal and introduce them to our audience. Do you want to connect with this startup/scale-up, feel free to contact us at [email protected]!
My name is Juri. My background is in chemistry, physics, and electrical engineering. I’m intrigued by the potential hydrogen has to impact the global and European economy, as well as by the beauty of simplifying complex systems and making them more efficient and economically viable.

Our bold goal is to make green hydrogen cheaper than electricity. First, green hydrogen has to become cheaper than its grey alternative by delivering better electrolyzers. This is the first step of our plan. Then we will build integrated systems combining the best of electrical generators and electrolyzers in one device. Longer-term, we want to make hydrogen straight from mechanical rotation. The point is fewer conversion steps and less grid dependency where that’s expensive, so hydrogen becomes a normal, bankable option, not a special case.
Right now we’re focusing on taking our electrolyzer technology out of the lab and into the real world with a pilot. We’re starting offshore because space is tight and performance per footprint (one of our advantages) matters, especially on floating assets. To that end, we will 4 be operating a 100kW electrolyzer pilot together with Switch 2 Offshore in the Port of Rotterdam.
We are all relentless and a little crazy. One of our core values is having fun. We are uninhibited when it comes to solution seeking, but with safety as a non-negotiable hard constraint.

It’s a big motivation for us. Our goal is to build a technology that wins on fundamentals: it should be economically self-sustaining, not something that only works because of subsidies, mandates, or green learning investments. That’s what makes it scalable and globally competitive, including in markets with less supportive regulation. Hydrogen demand today can be policy-driven, but we’re building toward applications where the value proposition stands on its own, so over time, we won’t need policy to make it work.
In our sector, the biggest bottleneck isn’t talent but risk appetite when it comes to new hardware. Capital gets comfortable only once something looks bankable, which slows first- of-a-kind. We’ve adapted by structuring a credible step-by-step path: electrolyzers first, turbine integration later. That way progress is tangible and the risk profile is easier to underwrite. But many truly breakthrough technologies can’t be “de-risked” in neat stages, and they still deserve a shot. Europe has an enormous pool of smart, driven builders; accelerating change means creating the financing, procurement, and regulatory confidence that lets them build and scale businesses here, in Europe.
Being accepted into Yes!Delft has been a big step for us. Securing our pilot with Switch 2 Offshore, an offshore ammonia scale-up, is another highlight, as it’s a concrete step toward real-world validation. Securing our first investment was also an important moment for the company.

Our first pilot will tell us what the real growth constraint is. We might have hypotheses, like integration effort, uptime, degradation, and operating under real power conditions, but it’s good to also have epistemic humility. So we’ll let the field data decide. The fastest way for us to grow is to turn that pilot into a repeatable, bankable deployment playbook, with less friction every time.
All three are welcome. The biggest help is network: introductions to potential customers and deployment partners in offshore and ports who can help us validate the system in real operations and become reference customers. We’re also open to funding and to meeting great people in integration, power electronics, and safety/permitting.
